Job Title:
TEAM MANAGER SOLAR
Qualification and Experience:
BE or equivalent.
Eligible for membership of relevant professional institutions.
Excellent command of spoken and written English and highly developed interpersonal skills.
Team player.
Consulting experience, preferably with some staff management experience.
- 5+ years experience in maintenance, operation, design and/or development of solar power generation facilities, with at least 10 years overall power generation experience.
All phases of power project developments including:
Initiation, feasibility and costing
Tender document preparation and tender evaluation
Concept / basic design and implementation
Technical studies associated with existing assets
Technical investigations
Leadership duties (40%):
Staff management – day to day management of staff and resolution of staffing issues; recommendations for recruitment and renumeration; Bi-annual Realising Your Potential (performance) interviews with all direct reports; motivating and inspiring staff to high levels of achievement; staff development and training.
Project management – allocation of resources, monitoring of progress and adherence to project budget, ensuring adherence with quality procedures, peer review, client liaison, project troubleshooting
Team Administration – work planning, contribution to weekly reports, contribution to revenue forecasts, contribution to strategic planning and annual budgets, contribution to project financial reports and reviews, ensuring company OSH procedures are being followed.
Business development – liaison and maintaining good relationships with existing clients; develop relationships with new clients; manage bid processes, prepare proposals, assist with maintenance of current marketing material.
