Job Title:
ENGINEER MANAGER

Key Responsibilities and Objectives:
Responsible to General Manager for:
  • The management and day to day operation of the Engineering Department and implementation of Quality Management System
  • Training and development of department personnel
  • All corporate and project technical documents
  • Development of Project Specific Procedures
  • Assigning engineers as applicable to specific projects
  • Maintaining departmental budgets
  • Co-ordination of organisational and technical interfaces with other departments
Position Under Direct Supervision:
Dependent on size of project.
  1. Mechanical Engineers
  2. Electrical and Instrument Engineers
  3. Process Engineers
  4. Drafting Co-ordinator
  5. Contract Engineers as required for a project
Total Number of Positions Under Control:
(Include all positions under direct subordinates)
NUMBER: Varies depending on the type and size of projects

Duties and Goals:
  • Ensuring that all technical documents reflect a fit for purpose design, comply with Client and Industry standards and specifications.
  • Ensuring all department personnel follow Quality Management System.
  • Projecting and maintaining a professional and technically competent image of engineering ability to Clients and Suppliers
Essential Criteria:
(Educational qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience level required)
  • Computer literate
  • Working knowledge of all Company engineering related software
Desirable Criteria:
(Other qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the position)
Engineering degrees
