Job Title:
LEAD / PRINCIPAL ESTIMATOR

Role Overview:

Management: (15%)

  • Read & Understand all RFQs for Structural, Mechanical, Piping,

  • Electrical & Instrumentation (SMP+E&I) projects.

  • Contribute to Go/No Go Decision to Bid

  • Coordinate Tender Planning of Resources

  • Develop Responsibility Matrix for Internal and External Tender Contributing Entities

  • Develop Estimating Strategies - Who does what & where.

  • Develop Bid Strategies - Conforming or Alternative Focus + Project Fit and Capabilities

  • Coordinate Joint Venture Partner Discussions

Hands-on: (85%)

  • Procurement and Sub-contract Vendor Pricing & Some 'first principles' Development

  • Man-hour estimates

  • Plant, Supervision and Overheads estimates

  • Departmental Estimate Review & Singapore Management Reviews

Disciplines:
Core:(Essential must possess a high level of skills & knowledge):

  • Mechanical Equipment + Piping + Project Management & Controls + HSE & QA/QC + + Protective Coatings (Blast & Painting + HDG) + Insulation (by SubCon)

  • Secondary: (Must have at least a basic understanding of these areas/activities):
    - Structural + Heavy Lift
    Tertiary: (Knowledge of these areas will greatly assist):

  • Basic Electrical + Instruments & Controls + Civil Works > Earth-moving/Concrete/Drainage/Earth Stabilisation/Marine Structures (to provide basic support & integrate these within SMP-E&I estimates from our existing internal expertise)

Type of Estimates Prepared:

  • IPA Grading of FEL-1 thru to FEL-3

  • AACE International Grading of Class 4 thru to Class 2

  • Lump Sum > SOR & BOQ rates based

Hours of work:
Normally between 7:00am to 6:00pm Mon - Friday + Saturday 8:30am till 12:00 noon As required for tender closings, etc.
